The Science is Settled ! Now S.T.F.U. or we may have you ARRESTED!

It appears that there is no point in debating this issue any longer.  One side’s mind is made up. The “science is settle”, (science is never settled). There is the 97% consensus, which was nothing but a total fraud. “But we only have 10 years to save the planet”

Which always seems to be getting pushed back.

Then in 2006 Al Gore said that we only had 10 years to save the planet. Well 10 years have come and gone. and the planet seems to be doing just fine.

Now as of April 2017 we have …guess what,  only 10 years left to save the earth.

Vermont has given itself  another 33 years to become a 90% total renewable energy state.  Obviously were going to have to do better.  This will call for more draconian measures.

Five year plans anyone?  With much of our youth apparently on board they should be more the happy to donate their time and labor on weekends and in the summer utilizing pick and shovel (none of that pollution belching machinery) to prepare former pastures and mountain tops for many more solar panel farms and wind turbines. Of course this would be voluntary, but it be a gauge as to who among our youth are truly committed and who are just along for the ride.

It is time to put the hammer down.  Says “our betters” at the Times Argus.

 

Marches are morale-builders among those looking for ways to make their voices heard. The massive march in Montpelier on Jan. 21, like similar marches all around the country, was useful in showing opponents of Trump that they were not alone and were not powerless.

In the same way, the March for Science underscored the important role science must play in shaping public policy and showed that an appreciation of science as a fundamental component of education is widespread.

Then again, when liberals get together to prove an intellectual point, there is always the danger that they will be talking mainly to and among themselves. Many of the protest signs were clever enough, such as the one that said, “What do we want? Evidence-based science. When do we want it? After peer review!” It is a kind of in-joke among those familiar with the scientific method. But it flirts with the possibility of sending a different message: that you’re a numbskull if you don’t know how funny and smart we are.

At the same time, the nation and world are fighting against what might be seen as a class of professional numbskulls — interest groups and political movements purposely promoting misinformation in order to cloud the science underpinning our knowledge of climate change.

We are long past the time when the press felt compelled to give equal time or space to climate-change deniers. People of all political persuasions know or have an inkling that the planet has entered a new era. Vermonters are keenly attuned to the woods, the wildlife, the weather and know that things are different, and not just in an occasional or random way. Rather, new climate patterns are settling in and the natural world is showing the effects.

Those who are keenly concerned about climate change may be longing for the day when Trump voters and climate-change skeptics more generally will step forward with a heartfelt mea culpa. But the humiliation of one’s opponents should not be the point. Rather, the marches for science, and an emphasis on the importance of education, serve to show how all of us depend on science, fully funded and widely understood.

Perhaps the time has come for the legislature to pass laws threating jail time for people who persist in denying climate change as Bill Nye has proposed,   Or better still, put a pick, shovel and wheelbarrow in their hands and put them to work under selected student  overseers.

But lets cut to the chase, like single payer health care and unlimited immigration this panic over global warming climate change is simply another way to further the march of socialism  Progressivism.  That a “dead” constitution will become living.

As we’ve been somewhat aware, relations between the four have been somewhat strained of the last year or two.  Neil didn’t take kindly to David’s comments about his new squeeze,  a washed up movie actress from the eighties, after splitting from his wife of 36 years.

David Crosby was also very pissed at Graham Nash for what he wrote in his memoir about him saying it was “full of inaccuracies and chock full of misinformation”.

Nash for his part says I’m completely done with David Crosby,” Mr. Nash bluntly told The Washington Times. “I will never talk with David Crosby again.”

Nash however did take a cue from Neil and split from his wife of  38 years.

The greatest recent change for Nash was separating from his wife of 38 years, Susan Sennett, and starting up again with his new girlfriend, Amy Grantham. “I fell in love with this wonderful person in New York City and my life has changed,” Nash reveals. “People are going to have to understand that. On my next birthday I’ll be 74 years old, and I need to be happy with whatever life I have left. So this album is a complete reflection of my life changing and me having the courage to go on with it.”

His girlfriend his half his age and looks a little like Joni Mitchell.

It’s good to be a rock star.

But now thanks to their shared hatred of President Donald Trump which has seemed to overcome their hatred of each other, their may be a reunion in the works.  The four of them are probably busy writhing songs of protest right now. Why they could also share the stage with Bruce Springsteen.

Of course they may hate the man but by extension they must hate everyone who voted for him.

I used to be a big fan of them all,  Neil in particular. But it seems like that was a long time ago.

The Captain and Tennille use to sing “Love will keep us together”, (they have since divorced).

With CSN&Y the emotion that brings them together appears to be HATE!

Sad! Very Sad.

I wonder how many people in America and especially here in the D.S.P.R. of Vermont are aware if this.

The Socialist government of Nicolas Maduro  has of course  been confiscating guns from citizens under the guise that Venezuela has the highest murder rate in the world.  At the same time he’s giving the guns to his street thugs  supporters.

Of course the sad part is that the people of Venezuela voted for this back in the nineties. They took control (the socialist) of the military and the judiciary.  And like the socialist Fascist and Nazi’s  of the 1920’s and 30’s once they take root it is impossible to vote them out.

Take it as a warning people. I see rivers of blood for Venezuela.

Haven’t heard of any comment from Sean Penn, Danny Glover, or Bernie.

How can anyone be against SCIENCE ???!!!

I’m all for science.  I’m just against science being corrupted to obtain a political goal.  Science is not about consensus.

Science is about the scientific method.

 

 

The left and the media have a political agenda for the advancement of progressive socialism. And they employ science as a means to this end.

This of course has been done before, ever hear of a fellow named Trofim Lysenko.

Now here was a guy who was “politically correct”.

The V.I. Lenin Academy of Agricultural Sciences announced on August 7, 1948 that thenceforth Lysenkoism would be taught as the only correct theory.  All Soviet scientists were required to denounce any work that contradicted Lysenkoism.  Ultimately, Soviet geneticists resisting Lysenkoism were imprisoned and even executed.  Lysenkoism was abandoned for the correct modern science of Mendelian genetics only as late as 1964.

The Theory of Man Caused Catastrophic Global Warming 

This same practice of Lysenkoism has long been under way in western science in regard to the politically correct theory of man caused, catastrophic, global warming.  That theory serves the political fashions of the day in promoting vastly increased government powers and control over the private economy.  Advocates of the theory are lionized in the dominant Democrat party controlled media in the U.S., and in leftist controlled media in other countries.  Critics of the theory are denounced as “deniers,” and even still bourgeois fascists, with their motives impugned.

Those who promote the theory are favored with billions from government grants and neo-Marxist environmentalist largesse, and official recognition and award.  Faked and tampered data and evidence has arisen in favor of the politically correct theory.  Is not man-caused, catastrophic global warming now the only theory allowed to be taught in schools in the West?

Liberals clam that conservatives are anti-science.  Not true.  But liberals do wish to blind us with it.

100 years ago today.  The February Revolution had taken place. The Romanov’s 300 year reign was over.  Russia was undertaking it’s first experiment in Parliamentary democracy.

This bastard would make sure it was stillborn.

None the less his successor the wisest of the wise foresaw the future. Set his people to if not exactly protecting the earth, to moving lots of it, by hand.

Were any of these students open to or aware of dissenting opinions on the subject of climate change? Do they have a clue that the climate change movement is 98% politics and 2% science. Do they know of all the corruption of data that has taken place.

Would they even listen?

Vermont has by law pledged to run on 90% renewables by 2050.  This can only be achieved by government coercion, and loss of Freedoms. And it’d not going to make any difference.  But it will achieve the goal of a progressive socialist ideology firmly in control with force to back it up.  They will forever do the thinking for you.
I’m thankful that I will be likely long gone by then.

Fascism is on the march

Although universities and colleges are supposed to be places where ideas are exchanged and challenged, they are easily the most reactionary institutions in modern American society. Confronting the established wisdom there is a career-ender. Free speech exists in theory but only within the narrowest of prescribed limits. Speakers who violate the politically correct canon are shouted down, demonized, and assaulted. Truly new ideas are anathema in the academy, at least in the humanities and social sciences. Question identity politics, the cult of multiculturalism, or the evil inherent in white people and America, and your life in academia will be over before it begins.

“The cultural Marxism ideology that created identity politics in the first place now permeates the university far beyond the classroom,” opines Bruce Thornton, “and enables an intolerance for competing ideas, not to mention shutting down the ‘free play of the mind on all subjects’ that [English cultural critic] Matthew Arnold identified as the core mission of liberal education.”

And so the dominant illiberal ideology in higher education snuffs out its competition, marginalizing original thinking and combating intellectual diversity – and this weaponized intolerance spills over into the culture at large along the way. Free speech is a threat to the authoritarian glue that holds these taxpayer-supported warehouses of student indoctrination and conformity together, so it must be regulated. There is almost no life of the mind nowadays; there is the dictatorship of thought commissars. And woe to those who fail to toe the line.

America as it has existed is in deep shit.

A good friend of mine said that “it’s good that were old”  Meaning that if were lucky we won’t be around to see that hell on earth that the next two generations have created.
