The Consequences of Election Fraud – What If LBJ Hadn’t Stolen the 1948 Texas Senate Election [Buck Throckmorton]
—Open Blogger
200 fraudulent ballots in 1948 changed the course of 20th Century history. We cannot let election fraud in 2020 do the same to the 21st Century.
In the 1948 Texas Democratic Senate primary, Lyndon Johnson (“LBJ”) came up just short in his race against Coke Stevenson, trailing by less than 150 votes after all the ballots were counted. But six days after the election, the local political boss in Duval County produced 202 more ballots that had been “found.” Exactly 200 of them voted for LBJ, in alphabetic order, and with the same handwriting on the tally sheet that voters had to sign. LBJ won the election by 87 votes. Texas was still a one-party state in 1948, so winning the Democratic primary meant LBJ went to the US Senate in 1949.
What if Coke Stevenson had not been cheated out of his Senate victory? How different might history be if LBJ hadn’t become a Senator?
There would have been no Kennedy-Johnson ticket in 1960 without Senator Johnson. LBJ had become the powerful Senate Majority Leader during the 1950s. Because Texas had voted for the GOP presidential candidate (Eisenhower) in both 1952 and 1956, Kennedy picked LBJ to try to bring Texas back in to the Democrat column. Without LBJ, would there have been a President Kennedy? Without a President Kennedy how different would history be?
What if Richard Nixon had carried a Johnson-less Texas in the 1960 presidential race, defeating JFK and becoming President? There would have been no JFK assassination. And with Nixon stepping down from the presidency in 1965 or 1969, there would also not have been a Watergate in 1973.
More importantly, without a Senator Johnson in 1949 there never would have been a President Johnson from 1963 to 1969. Perhaps the awful damage done to this country by President Johnson could have been avoided.
The civil rights movement started during the Eisenhower administration, and it was gaining momentum when LBJ became President. Just when black Americans were finally escaping the government-mandated poverty of legal segregation, LBJ rushed through the Great Society to keep blacks dependent and poor, destroying the black family in the process. Without LBJ’s poisonous welfare policies, how different might things be today?
How about Vietnam? How different might history have played out if Richard Nixon was Commander in Chief in the 1960s?
Without the Kennedy assassination and Vietnam, how different might the 1960s have been culturally?
Without Watergate in 1973, we likely wouldn’t have had President Carter’s disastrous presidency. Of course, without President Carter we probably wouldn’t have elected President Reagan. But, without President Carter we may not have needed a President Reagan.
The mail-in ballot debacle of 2020 is for the purpose of sowing confusion. Democrats want to harvest as many ballots post-election as are needed to change the results of ballots cast at the ballot box. I will accept the results of election day. I will not accept my candidates losing after ballots continue to be found after the election. 200 fraudulent ballots in 1948 allowed “Landslide Lyndon” the opportunity to cause so much lasting damage to this country. We cannot let it happen again in 2020.
A similar scenario of how the course of history could have been so different then today was that unfortunate game of tennis on June 30th 1924. If that had not happened, President Calvin Coolidge would not have been a man in mouring for his entire term. May have chosen to run for a 2nd term in 1928 and if re-elected, would have dealt with the stock market crash and financial panic in 1929 similar to how Warren Harding handled the 1921 economic depression you’ve never heard of .
No world wide ‘great’ depression, no ‘new deal’, Nazi’s do not come to power, WW2 never happens… It’s the butterfly effect. that changes the course of history. Unfortunately it seems never fotr the better.
— City councilors who have since green-lighted painting “Black Lives Matter” on the street in front of the State House and agreed to add a flag expressing the same sentiment to the pole in front of City Hall were told Wednesday night if they are truly interested in social justice they should start erasing Montpelier’s “thin blue line.”
It wasn’t a request, it was a “demand” – technically a list of them – as councilors were repeatedly told to take “concrete steps” with an eye toward “abolishing” the local police department. It wasn’t unanimous, but it was the predominant view of those who spoke during the well-attended virtual meeting that opened with councilors entertaining an unwarned request they accommodate plans to paint “Black Lives Matter” in large letters on the strip of State Street that is strategically located in front of the State House
What does one make of all this? Well, comparing Vermont’s crime rate to other parts of the country, Vermont is one of the safest States in the country. Not only that but the crime rate is still dropping. Now what might be the reasons for this?
One: Vermont is a gezzer State with one of the oldest populations per capita in the country. Breaking and entering is mainly a pursut for the young thug. Older people are just not into that asmuch.
Two: Guns ! Despite Vermont’s drifting over the past few decades into Progressive totalitarianism the left hasn’t got around to altering Vermont’s Gun laws, because there were no laws to alter. But they’re working on that,It should be noted that laws banning high capacity magazines has recently been ruled unconstitutional by none other than the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Because Vermont is a very rual state and law enforcement could up to an hour away the right to possess firearms has always meant so much more than just deer hunting. And if the Progressive /Marxist obtain the political power to defund and or abolish municipal police forces being able to defend yourself and family with firearms will be more important then ever. Because to be sure the criminals will also have them. Armed society usually translates to more polite society.
Three: Race. Unfortunately because of sixty years of democrat one party rule in our major cities that has left many African Americans near the bottom of the economic ladder. And it all started in the 1960’s with LBJ’s Great Society
In 1965, when the Great Society began in earnest following the massive electoral landslide reelection of LBJ, the out-of-wedlock birthrate among the black community was 21 percent. By 2017, this figure had risen to a whopping 77 percent. In some cities, this rate is as high as 80 percent, with most of the unwed mothers being teenagers. We have documented extensively in our article on the death of civil society in the United States the negative effects of the single-parent household on child development and outcomes. The black community is now entering its third generation of single parenthood as the norm, something that rose astronomically with the advent of the Great Society.
And again, while we outline a number of negative consequences resulting from single-parent families, it’s worth pulling one out in relation to the destruction of the black family in America: There is no better predictor of male criminality than being raised in a fatherless home. 70 percent of all juvenile offenders in state reform institutions were raised in fatherless homes. This includes 60 percent of all rapists, 72 percent of all murderers, and 70 percent of long-term inmates.
Liberalism destroys everything it touches.
African Americans are 13% of the U.S. population yet account for 37 % of violent crime. Much to the embarrasment of Progressives, Vermont is 95% White, Approx. 6300 black people live in the entire State. Is that why Vermont is seeming such a safe place that we no longer need police? Sounds racist doesn’t it.
Fortunately for Chief Peete, Montpelier (and Burlington) seems to lack a significant Antifa chapter and the BLM crowd has so far not risen to the (B)urn, (L)oot and (M)urder standard of thier comtempories in Chicago, Minneapolis, Seattle, and Portland.
But Monpelier and Burlington are deep blue too. How can those leftist agitators not want to get in on the fun. Not much in the way of business’s to destroy in Montpelier or Barre. But Church Street and Mapletree place might be temping targets to help bring down Capitalism.Time will tell.
I’m sure that Chief Peete is aware that his new city Montpelier has had only one murder in the last hundred years and that the victim was a Black man. But since the murderer was…another Black man, Black on Black, just like a normal day in Chicago, his life didn’t matter… as much.
But finally, I want to wish Chief Peete the best of luck with dealing with all the crazy leftist white people in his new “White Choclate city”. He’ll need it.
“This new product is perfect for when you’re craving the distinct taste of watered-down coffee that has been sitting in a giant aluminum urn for four hours,” a Keurig spokesperson said. “Now you can have the taste of real Christian fellowship—and really bad coffee—in the comfort of your own home.”
“It was not because it was proposed to establish a new nation, but because it was proposed to establish a nation on new principles, that July 4, 1776, has come to be regarded as one of the greatest days in history…
Those words were spoken by President Calvin Coolidge on July 5, 1926 at a speech delivered in Philadelphia commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. It was especially fitting that Coolidge — the only President born on the 4th of July — deliver this tribute to the Declaration.
In his speech, Coolidge spoke passionately of the principles in the Declaration, the special inheritance bequeathed to us by Thomas Jefferson, whose legacy is now being threatened by the progressive mob.
“If anyone wishes to deny their truth or their soundness, the only direction in which he can proceed historically is not forward, but backward toward the time when there was no equality, no rights of the individual, no rule of the people.”
Oh, if the progressives gain the power the people will be ‘ruled, you will be made to care, you will take a knee.
There is plenty of blame to go around for the present peril of our country. Some to the Greatest_Generation for raising spoiled brats. The Supreme Court who certain members think that they’re so much smarter then the founders and reinterpret the Constitution away from the oringinal intent. The Democrat party whose lust for power cancelled their love of country. And Finally the ‘Republican Party’ who for the most part sat around with their thumbs up their ass and watched it happen.
