I have in the past featured quite a few of Styx’s videos. He’s quite a character. I aligned a lot with his libertarian outlook, and the fact that he’s a local boy residing in Rutland, Vermont.
I haven’t seen much of him on Youtube latley, and obviously there is a reason why.
I went on a cruise …
… and it was a great experience.
The ship was spotless, the crew was professional and friendly, the food was fabulous, and the amenities were superb.
My observation was that for most of our fellow passengers, this wasn’t their first cruise. We met people who were on their ninth, fifteenth, or even twenty-second cruise.
The majority ethnicity of the passengers was non-white. Almost everyone was overweight. Almost everyone appeared economically comfortable. And the feeling was we were one big happy family all together having fun on a big boat.
It was a microcosm of what we wish society could be.

My Personal thought…I have no objection to any LGBT+ person who is qualified and proved that they earned a position of command and authority by talent and merit.
This was not the case.

Vermont is a deep blue…
…one-party rule state. A Republican governor can only do so much when you have an opposition legislative body that has an almost supermajority of leftist progressive/Marxist. I’ve lived here long enough to see Vermont shift from politically center-right to extreme far-left.
I was self-supporting after high school graduation, and through a lifetime of employment and common-sense decisions, I achieved the “American dream” of owning a home and a plot of land. I was just a regular guy.
One of my children has already left the state and moved south, and is very happy with no winter, warmer weather, and no potholes. Along with a lower cost of living.
But people of Vermont voted for this.
Joe McCarthy’s Crime…
Was being way, way, ahead of his time.

The N.D.P. is a fringe party even by Canadian standards.
But it gives Democrats in America something more to aspire to.
