April 11th 2018.
Another small chunk of liberty disappears.
Vermont Republican Gov. Phil Scott… readies to speak before signing the first significant gun-restrictions bills in the state’s history during a ceremony on the steps of the State House in Montpelier
Gun rights advocates in the state generally support taking guns away from people deemed dangerous or prone to domestic violence, both covered by the new legislation. But they fiercely oppose provisions in the laws that raise the age to buy firearms from 18 to 21, restrict the size of gun magazines and require background checks for most private gun sales.
But supporters of the restrictions say the time has come in Vermont.
“I think it sends a signal that the cultural shift … is huge in Vermont, and I don’t think there is anything in these bills that are going to take guns away from any law-abiding person”.
Well, after Oct 1st these ‘pieces’ cannot be ‘legally’ sold in Vermont.
That’s taking something away.
No denying, school shootings suck. But considering the sausage factory that K-12 education indoctrination has become, especially for the young ‘white male’ should we really be surprised when someone goes off the deep end.
Meanwhile they pat themselves on the back. They did “something” that in the end will do “nothing”.
As the sign says, “Get them before they’re gone”. Before what used to be Vermont is gone.
