When one generation gets old they often reminisce about the times when they were young.\u00a0 I was born at the beginning of the age of television. Black and\u00a0white and only two channels, on ABC, the other CBS.\u00a0Cable and NBC\u00a0didn’t arrive on my street until 1966.\u00a0 \u00a0We didn’t have dial phones, party lines still existed.\u00a0 Standard shift meant cars with a clutch and you had to move a stick to shift. The sound system was an AM radio, \u00a0FM was an option, as was A\/C. The most modern office equipment was a electric typewriter.\u00a0 Needed a copy? That’s what carbon paper was for.<\/p>\n

For our Parents the technological advancements that occurred in the 60’s were nothing short of amazing, (We landed on the moon<\/strong> for crying out loud)\u00a0\u00a0compared\u00a0 to the times\u00a0 of their youth in the 1920’s and 30’s.\u00a0 But airplanes and radio existed then, not for their parents who still used the horse and buggy.<\/p>\n

The same holds true today for us baby boomers.\u00a0 The internet, laptop computers,\u00a0cell phones, and flat screen T.V’s to name a few examples.<\/p>\n

But while technology has progressed in quantum leaps, something else has regressed.\u00a0 Our love and desire for freedom.\u00a0 That, along with moral relativism which has all but destroyed societies ability and desire to state unequivocally what is right and what is\u00a0wrong.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

It seems\u00a0to me\u00a0that millennials, unlike us old fogies have no concept of history.\u00a0 It’s like the world was created the day they were born.\u00a0 And their corruption by\u00a0 government run schools and colleges has been very through.<\/p>\n

They’re just such little snowflakes. They start to melt whenever their worldview is questioned. Being pro-life<\/a> on campus\u00a0is just the latest.<\/p>\n

They want everything to be “free”, free college, free healthcare, free from worry. free from ideas\u00a0they<\/strong> don’t agree with. \u00a0Make the “rich” pay for it. They want to be sheep, to be taken care of.\u00a0 What they fail to realize is that sheep require shearing.\u00a0 and sometimes led to slaughter. But it will never be them, always those other people.<\/p>\n

According to Wikipedia Arlo is now a registered Republican. Was a Ron Paul supporter, and is\u00a0a believer in the Constitution.\u00a0 He’s disappointed in both political parties. As am I.<\/p>\n

Arlo\u00a0remembers a time and place\u00a0when “littering” was considered a major crime and\u00a0Tricky dick\u00a0didn’t get away with it.\u00a0 But today if you have a “D” by your name you can.\u00a0\u00a0 It’s the Democrats who want to shred the Constitution.<\/p>\n

Arlo remembers what it was like when he was young. Millennials \u00a0can’t conceive of getting old, or ever considering that they might be wrong.<\/p>\n

Troubling times indeed.<\/p>\n
